The Breakthrough Church culture shapes how we see the world, how we interact with others, and how we approach the work we are called to do. It is based upon the first church in Acts and its mission. This church has been prayed over diligently and built from the ground up to model the Biblical teaching of what a church should be. Our foundation is on the solid rock, which is Jesus.
Our culture, our leadership, and our DNA is shaped by the desire to know Jesus and make Him known. We look at how He invested His life, how He treated people, and how He approached His ministry. There is no better example to follow.
The fact that you are reading this means that God has given us the opportunity to share our lives, our faith, and our love with you. Our desire is that through this church, you can feel the Father's love. Our prayer is that you will be able to step in, dig deep, and become rooted in Christ and in the culture that we care deeply about. We are always working to be better and to make something that will last longer than we do.
Breakthrough's beginnings are a true "out of the ashes" story.
In the fall of 2020, Pastors Tim Bennett and Dusty Morris acted on the call of God that had been laid on their hearts. This call was to start a new church. They wanted to be able to serve in a ministry that was a true example of a Biblical church. They wanted to minister to the broken and provide a family to the spiritually orphaned.
Pastor Tim and his wife Diane have had a 38 year dedicated ministry to the Lord. He planted churches, developed Christian leaders, and led souls to Christ across the world for almost 4 decades. He has faithfully laid his own wants and desires down to fulfill the Great Commission. Pastor Tim feels this church is the most fulfilling ministry he has had the opportunity to be part of thus far. His heart is for the people of Breakthrough Church.
Pastor Dusty first felt called to ministry in the middle of his salvation story. In 2015, the story of Acts 9 unfolded in his heart. His life had been spent attempting to hold on to the rules of Christianity, but knowing he never quite measured up. He claimed the name of "Christian" but lived a sinful life. One night the Lord met him much in the same way the Lord met Saul on the road to Damascus. Pastor Dusty's eyes were opened and he could see. He knew the Lord was calling him to go out and proclaim the name of the Lord to the Gentiles and their kings. This was laid heavy on his heart.
The story of our beginning does not end with our lead pastors. There was a group of people, that through God's divine timing, had a burden for something new. A fresh fire was desperately needed in our small community. We have leaders who pour into every ministry. The heart and soul of Breakthrough is that we will make disciples so that others can make disciples.
